BROOKLYN - Officials are investigating after a Brooklyn auto shop went up in flames overnight.

Officials says a minivan caught fire inside the Collision shop at 499 East 99th St. Firefighters had to cut down the gate to get inside and reach the burning vehicle.

An FDNY spokesperson says it took about 20 minutes to get the blaze under control.
