BROOKLYN - A Brooklyn band that's on its way up performed at the Afro Punk Music Festival in Downtown Brooklyn this weekend.

Unlocking The Truth won the battle of the bands at the festival last year, and has had great success since.

The group's members are in eighth grade, but they have already performed at Coachella, opened for Queens of the Stone Age, and made appearances on MTV and Fuse.

The Afro Punk Mustic Festival is in its sixth year. It featured more than 40 bands, visual artists and movies, drawing crowds of thousands of people.
