Brooklyn residents were able to soak in the sun again today.The holiday weekend marks the beginning of beach season and Coney Island, Brighton and Manhattan

CONEY ISLAND - Brooklyn residents were able to soak in the sun again today.

The holiday weekend marks the beginning of beach season and Coney Island, Brighton and Manhattan beaches are now open to the public.

The parks department is advising beachgoers to swim only when there is a lifeguard on duty from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

City beaches will remain open for the summer until Labor Day weekend.
