BROOKLYN - The Brooklyn Botanic Garden has made a tree house out of the trees that fell during Superstorm Sandy.

Victoria Valencia and her business partner John Duvall built the tree house to turn the disaster into a work of art as a memorial to the fallen trees.

Valencia says they picked all of the trees apart and turned them into boards and slabs instead of just slipping them through a chipper.

Valencia says it's a tragedy to lose a tree and it feels good to do something else with it.
