BROOKLYN - Residents came out to Brooklyn Borough Hall Monday to celebrate Haitian Flag Day.

The holiday commemorates Haiti's history and culture.

The celebration at Borough Hall featured lives performances, music and food.

Organizers say there is a booming Haitian population in Brooklyn and the event is a way for them to come out and mingle.
