BROOKLYN - Brooklyn College today unveiled a new center on campus that aims to help veterans who are returning to academia secure financial aid, counseling and other services.

The Veteran Affairs and Counseling Center used to be in a small basement room on campus, but it was moved to the first floor of the building and expanded.

School officials say that about 200 veterans attend Brooklyn College.
