BROOKLYN - A point guard on Brooklyn College's women's basketball team may be short in stature, but is big in heart.

Chrissy Heyer, a 5-foot freshman from Bishop Kearney High School, has done a lot to impress her much-taller teammates. She has made her way onto the starting lineup, averaging six points a game.

Senior forward Asia Foster says that despite Heyer's small size, she is the toughest player on the team.

Heyer is one of only three players in the entire CUNYAC that stands at 5 feet.

"I use my speed to my advantage and I use my height to get into little spaces," Heyer said. "I feel like I can jump higher so sometimes I out-rebound people and they're shocked."

The Bulldogs may have lost in the CUNYAC final, but their season continues Saturday in the ECAC tournament.
