EAST FLATBUSH - For many, Christmas traditions involve seeing the magical mechanical Christmas window displays at many famous retailers. And a lot of those windows are dreamed up and constructed in Brooklyn.

Lou Nasti, of Mechanical Displays in East Flatbush, is behind many of the displays.

His displays have graced the windows of Macy’s in the past and currently are installed at the Park Avenue Plaza.

Nasti says he has been building the displays for 44 years and that it takes about four months to build a display.
