Brooklyn couple arraigned in death of boy, 4

CROWN HEIGHTS - (AP) - A Brooklyn mother and her boyfriend have beenarraigned on murder charges in the beating death of the woman's4-year-old son.

Twenty-five-year-old Myrna Chenphang and 26-year-old StevenDadaille were ordered held without bail at their first courtappearance on the charges Sunday. They face second-degree murdercharges in the death of Jayden Lenescar.

Officers responding to an emergency call Friday found Jaydenunconscious at his Crown Heights home. He was taken to Kings CountyHospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The city medical examiner said the boy's death was caused byblunt impact injuries to the torso.

Jayden's mother and her boyfriend were arrested after policeinvestigated.
