BROOKLYN - A Brooklyn couple accused in an elaborate plan to sexually abuse children has pleaded not guilty.
Bebars Baslan and Kristen Henry were arraigned on aggravated sexual abuse charges and are being held without bail following an undercover sting at the Hyatt Hotel in Jersey City Wednesday night.
According to the government's criminal complaint, a confidential source approached the FBI last month, telling investigators that the Midwood residents planned to start a baby-sitting service so they could drug and exploit children.
In one taped conversation, Baslan allegedly tells the informant about his girlfriend's desire to molest a baby. Henry was also recorded bragging about her credentials and references for having worked in schools.
The couple could spend 30 years to life in prison if convicted.
