Brooklyn day care workers lose jobs to new management

BUSHWICK - More than a dozen Brooklyn day care workers lost their jobs today to allow new management to run the center.

About 16 staff members at the Horace Greene Early Childhood Development Center in Bushwick were forced out of jobs that some had for decades.

A spokesperson for the Administration for Children Services says the updated system required organizations to send in applications for new management. They say another organization scored higher.

Some of the former staff members say they plan to protest on Friday.
