BROOKLYN - It's another messy travel day for Brooklyn residents after the borough was coated in a fresh layer of snow overnight.

Most roadways are covered in slush and ice, with the blacktop completely invisible on many secondary roads. Piles of snow are also making streets very narrow.

Drivers are encouraged to use mass transit again if possible and leave their vehicles where they are. Alternate side of the street parking rules are suspended through Monday.

Pedestrians should be extra careful where they step. Mounds of frozen snow, patches of ice and puddles of slush are making sidewalks difficult to navigate.

Everyone should allow plenty of travel time, regardless of how they're getting to their destinations.
