BROOKLYN - The clock is ticking for Brooklyn homeowners in need of federal disaster aid following Hurricane Irene.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will be closing its disaster center in the borough after today.

The center is located at Brooklyn College at 2900 Bedford Ave. until 5 p.m. Officials say only 46 people have come in for assistance so far.
