BROOKLYN - A young fencer from Brooklyn made a strong run for Olympic gold in London.

Nzingha Prescod, of Marine Park, competed as part of the women's foil team, but lost to South Korea in the quarterfinals.

The sophomore at Columbia University won a bout, lost one, and tied one, getting team USA a sixth place finish.
