FLATBUSH - As the census deadline approaches, dozens of Brooklyn organizations are pushing to make sure residents are counted.

The groups are stressing that the census forms are kept confidential, hopefully allaying fears of residents who may be in the country illegally.

The first deadline to turn in the census is April 1. The U.S. Census Bureau will then send out a second set of forms to residents who didn't send back the census. The last deadline is May 2.
