BROOKLYN - Brooklyn residents will have a chance this week to weigh in on a proposed water rate hike.

The city is considering a 14-percent water rate increase, a plan that has many residents up in arms.

Residents will be able to air their grievances with the city's Water Board Wednesday at 6 p.m. The hearing will be held at Brooklyn College on East 27th Street and Campus Road.
