BROOKLYN - A Brooklyn native is showcasing his childhood memories of the borough in an art exhibit in California.

Photographer Irv Lefberg was born and raised in Brooklyn and moved to San Diego more than 30 years ago. Lefberg's photographs of Coney Island, Grand Army Plaza and the Brooklyn Bridge are being showcased.

Lefberg digitally enhanced the quality and color of the 20 photos to create vibrant images.

The exhibit will be on display at the Calumet San Diego through March 12. Lefberg says he will sell the photographs and donate part of the money to a charity for Sandy victims.
