BROOKLYN - Borough President Eric Adams and Councilmember Mark Treyger are pairing up to tackle the issue of saving money for college.

The two introduced a bill last week that would make it a requirement for parents to receive a pack of information about the state's 529 College Savings Program alongside their child's birth certificate.

They both say the key to saving for children's higher education is to start early.
