Brooklyn prepares for annual Carnival parade

PROSPECT HEIGHTS - Brooklyn residents got the celebration started early, kicking off festivities for the borough's annual Carnival parade last night at the Brooklyn Museum.

Every year, millions of people come to the Labor Day parade to take in the Caribbean cuisine, music and dancing on display. The parade and festival participants say the parade is a wonderful way to express their culture and celebrate family traditions.

The parade will be held on the Eastern Parkway on Labor Day, and News 12 Brooklyn will be airing highlights.
