WILLIAMSBURG - Change isn?t such a great thing for some residents in Williamsburg.

Some residents say the new parking signs and bike lanes along Kent Avenue are having a negative effect on the community. The Department of Transportation posted the ?No Standing? signs with the new bicycle lanes. Business owners say the new signs make it difficult to receive deliveries.

Meanwhile, some residents say they now have to park far from their apartments and stores as a result of the bike lanes and signs.

The DOT says the community was notified about the changes well in advance. However, DOT officials say they are listening to complaints and are open to new ideas.
