Brooklyn residents brave frigid cold weather

Brooklyn residents were dealt extraordinarily cold temperatures on Friday, despite the fact that it's not officially winter.

With snow on its way to the area, residents were out stocking up on food and gas.

BAY RIDGE - Brooklyn residents were dealt extraordinarily cold temperatures on Friday, despite the fact that it's not officially winter.

Many residents said the key is to keep moving. There were still a lot of residents outside braving the cold, whether it was to exercise or walk their dogs.

Some people found warmth in subway stations, trying to get to their destinations as quickly as possible.

With snow on its way to the area, residents were also out stocking up on food and gas.

Residents are urged to bundle up and wear layers to keep warm in the frigid weather.
