BROOKLYN - Residents flocked to Dunkin' Donuts, Krispy Kreme and their favorite local pastry shops in honor of National Doughnut Day.

Some doughnut shops offered specials like free coffee with a doughnut purchase to celebrate the holiday.

Jiffy Lube even had a special offer. 

Published reports said that certain Jiffy Lube locations performed free tire pressure checks so drivers wouldn't have to use their spare "donut."
