BROOKLYN - Brooklyn residents are trying to get used to the bitter cold weather, which doesn't seem to be going away anytime soon.

The low temperatures and negative wind chills this week have come close to breaking records citywide, making it difficult and dangerous to be outside for too long.

News 12 spoke with one woman who says she plans on staying indoors all weekend.

The temperature will warm up to about 31 degrees on Saturday, but 1-2 inches of snow is expected.
