Brooklyn residents disappointed over Yankees loss

BROOKLYN - Baseball fans throughout the borough had their Yankees dreams shattered last night after a disappointing loss to the Detroit Tigers.

The chase for 28 ended for the Bombers after a 3-2 loss at home in Game 5 of the AL championship series.

Many fans are surprised by the early end to the playoffs after an eventful regular season marked by Derek Jeter's 3,000th hit and Mariano Rivera's record-setting save.
