BROOKLYN - With Labor Day marking the last unofficial day of summer, many Brooklyn residents took the time to enjoy their last taste of summer activities.

Across the borough, residents went outside to play baseball, volleyball or just take a stroll.

For many kids, today was one of the last days of summer vacation, with New York City schools starting on Thursday.

Some residents say they are already planning for next summer, without the hurricane and earthquake to spoil their fun.
