BROOKLYN - Brooklyn residents were in search for locally grown food for thier Fourth of July barbecues today at the farmers market outside Prospect Park.

The Bartel Prichard Square Greenmarket on Prospect Park West is one of more than 50 markets throughout the city run by Grow NYC.

The majority of the city’s greenmarkets collect food scraps for composting and textiles for recycling.

The market will be open every Wednesday until the end of November.
