Brooklyn's own Jay-Z kicks off concert series at Barclays Center

DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN - Brooklyn native and co-owner of the Brooklyn Nets Jay-Z kicked off his concert series at the Barclays Center tonight in front of thousands of fans.

Before the concert began, crowds outside the arena watched as some of the Brooklyn Nets' players made an appearance on the "black carpet," before making their way into the show.

Friday's show was the first in a series of eight Jay-Z concerts to celebrate the opening of the arena.
