Brooklyn schools face ax tonight

FORT GREENE - Parents, students and teachers from Brooklyn will have their eyes on Fort Greene tonight, where a Department of Education panel is expected to make a crucial vote on shuttering schools.

The panel will vote on phasing out 18 schools, two of which are in Brooklyn: Metropolitan Corporate Academy High School and Paul Robeson High School.

A vote on additional schools is expected to take place Thursday.
