Brooklyn schools get the grades

BROOKLYN - The grades are in for the city's public schools.

The New York State Education Department released its annual school report cards today for 2008-09.

Public schools and districts were graded on student performance in English, language arts, math and science. The report also allows the public to see how school funding is being used and graduation rates.
