BROOKLYN - Several Brooklyn organizations are working to shine the light on domestic violence during awareness month this October.

Kings County District Attorney Charles Hynes spoke at Borough Hall during the "Shine the Light on Domestic Violence" resource fair Wednesday. He said more victims are reporting abuse, but there is always a need for more awareness.

North Brooklyn Coalition Against Family Violence, Safe Homes Project and the District Attorney's Office are just some of the places where victims can find help locally.
