BROOKLYN - A study by the Brooklyn Tech Triangle Coalition found that the tech sector is attracted to the borough.

The study determined that there are more than 520 tech companies in Brooklyn, which generate more than $3 billion. The coalition says the number of companies could double in a couple of years.

The Brooklyn Tech Triangle consists of areas between Downtown Brooklyn, DUMBO and the Brooklyn Navy Yard. Coalition leaders say the area is running out of commercial space for tech businesses. They say they want access to empty commercial buildings in Brooklyn.

The Brooklyn Tech Triangle Coalition says there must also be easier transportation access in and around the area.
