BROOKLYN - A Brooklyn native who was about to graduate from college was killed over the weekend when a fire engulfed her Boston-area home.

Binland Lee graduated from Brooklyn Technical High School and was pursuing a degree in marine biology at Boston University when she died Sunday in Allston. Fifteen others were hurt in the massive blaze.

Students held a community gathering Monday to remember Lee and discuss fire safety. There's no word yet on what caused the fire.
