Brooklyn teen drowns in Delaware River

An 18-year-old Brooklyn teen drowned in the Delaware River upstate while trying to swim across the river last night.The National Parks Departments says it recovered

GREENPOINT - An 18-year-old Brooklyn teen drowned in the Delaware River upstate while trying to swim across the river last night.

The National Parks Departments says it recovered the body of Daniel Rak today after he went missing last night. Rak was an assistant leader for Boy Scout Troop 4-69 in Greenpoint.

In a statement, the Boy Scouts of America said it is in "close communication" with Rak's family.
