EAST NEW YORK - For one Brooklyn teen, his love of drumming will take him all the way to California.

Luis Burgos will travel to the West Coast to compete in the annual Guitar Center Drum Off finals next week.

Burgos will be the only Brooklyn resident to compete and the only teenager in the finals.

He has also overcome being born deaf in one ear and says that he has never taken a drum lesson.

Burgos says he has looked up his competition on the Internet and admits they are pretty talented, but says he hopes he can overcome the odds and be declared the winner.
