Brooklyn toddler bit by family pit bull

BROOKLYN - A Brooklyn toddler was rushed to Lutheran Hospital on Easter Sunday after the family's pit bull bit her in the face.

Police say the little girl, who is about two or three years old, is in serious condition. Neighbors say the girl suffered extensive facial injuries.

Tenants in the 86th Street building say they heard the baby's mother screaming from inside the family's third-floor apartment. The girl's father cradled her and carried her downstairs to police, who rushed her to the hospital, neighbors say.
