Brooklyn voters cast ballots in Sandy's aftermath

PARK SLOPE - While many Brooklyn voters hit some bumps in the road to the polls today, others say they're just glad to be part of the democratic process. A steady stream of Brooklyn residents came out to P.S. 282 on Sixth Avenue today to cast their votes. Parents brought their children to educate them on the voting process. One mom who brought her son says she took the chance to explain to him that voting is a special privilege that should not be taken for granted. Many said they wouldn't miss the chance to cast their vote, even in Hurricane Sandy's aftermath.
