BROOKLYN - Brooklyn voters are packing polling places Tuesday to decide key contests, like the attorney general and gubernatorial races.

New York State Attorney General Eliot Spitzer (D) is leading in the polls against Republican John Faso, who formerly served as the NY Assembly leader. Faso blames his lagging campaign on a lack of funding from the Republican Party. Political analysts say the GOP probably put money into races candidates were more likely to win.

Voters are also deciding who will be New York?s next attorney general. Republican Jeanine Pirro, who served as the Westchester district attorney, is facing Democrat Andrew Cuomo, who served as assistant secretary of Housing and Urban Development under former President Bill Clinton. Pirro?s campaign has been marred by allegations that she tried to have her husband?s boat wiretapped. Pirro says voters should pick her because of her track record as a DA and ignore her marital problems.

Polls close Tuesday, November 7 at 9 p.m.
