Brooklyn woman killed by stray bullet

BROOKLYN - Police say 24-year-old Terrance Villanueva was arrested Saturday night for the shooting of a Bushwick woman.

According to authorities, 44-year-old Jesselle Page was sitting in front of her building on Moore Street with her 8-year-old nephew playing nearby when gunshots erupted at around 4:45 p.m.

Police say Page grabbed her nephew to protect him when a bullet hit her in the torso. After she was gravely wounded, Page carried the boy inside the building, where she collapsed.

Page was taken to an area hospital, where she was pronounced dead. Villanueva has been charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon.
