Brooklyn women get 'Cookin' in Crown Heights'

BROOKLYN - Twelve young women from diverse backgrounds in Crown Heights are launching their collaborative cookbook ?Crown Heights is Cookin?.?

The cookbook is part of the Youth Entrepreneurship Program within the Crown Heights Mediation Center. The girls are from West Indian, African-American and Jewish backgrounds and have been working since January to develop the cookbook.

The purpose of the project was to increase communication and understanding between the different ethnic groups in Crown Heights.
