The brother of a Brooklyn man who was killed in an alleged hate crime in Bushwick testified today he saw his brother get a bottle

BROOKLYN - The brother of a Brooklyn man who was killed in an alleged hate crime in Bushwick testified today he saw his brother get a bottle smashed over his head and get beaten with a baseball bat.

Prosecutors say Keith Phoenix and Hakim Scott brutally beat Jose Sucuzhanay in 2008. According to authorities, the two men attacked Sucuzhanay and his brother, Romel, because they thought the men were gay.

Romel Sucuzhanay testified that when the attack was over, his brother was not moving and covered in blood.
