Brothers injured in Coney Island double shooting

BROOKLYN - Police say they are investigating a double shooting that took place in Coney Island today.

Neighbors say the incident happened on West 20th Street this afternoon and that the two victims were brothers.

Police say one of the victims sustained a gunshot wound to his leg and the other was shot in his abdomen. They say one victim was taken to Lutheran Hospital and the other victim was taken to Coney Island Hospital.

Some of the Guardian Angels say they were nearby when the shooting took place.  They say the weapon sounded similar to a shotgun.
