BROOKLYN - High school students at the Brownsville Academy have transformed the school's art gallery into a mock studio apartment.

Everything in the apartment was designed and created by the students, including the floor plans for the 900-square-foot space.

Students say their teacher taught them to think outside the box and create things out of cardboard and other unlikely materials.

The students have been working on the project since September.
