Brownsville grandma survives stray bullet to the neck

BROOKLYN - A Brownsville grandmother is counting her blessings after being hit in the neck by a stray bullet.

Margarett Johnson, 70, says she was cooking in her kitchen on Grafton Street Thursday when the bullet flew through the window. She was taken to the hospital, treated and released.

Police say no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting and ask anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
