Brownsville protest looks to stop closure of P.S. 298

BROWNSVILLE - Parents in Brownsville marched tonight against plans to shutter P.S. 298.

The city recently put the school on a list of 20 underperforming schools, placing its future in jeopardy. Parents have argued the school is not to blame for poor student performance.

P.S. 298 is the same school where a mother of 12 was shot to death last month.
