BROWNSVILLE - Brownsville residents are calling for a police crackdown after two triple shootings happened just blocks away from each other.
Police say there were six people shot within a four-mile radius over the weekend.
Police set up a checkpoint in the area where the two shootings happened. Officers stopped cars to see if anyone had information related to the incidents.
Resident Stacy McFadden says she feels the police are doing the right thing by setting up the checkpoint but she says as soon as they leave, the crime will come back.To view our coverage
