BROWNSVILLE - A Brownsville mother says she's thankful to News 12 Brooklyn after an investigation led to her receiving a new window in her apartment.

Sara Gonzalez called News 12 about a broken window in her apartment that she claimed hadn't been fixed for a year. Gonzalez says water and debris would come in when it rained, and she feared for her children's safety.

After the family's story aired on News 12, Gonzalez says a new window was installed in her apartment.
