Bushwick Community H.S. saved from chopping block

BROOKLYN - A Brooklyn school has been saved from potential closure, Department of Education (DOE) officials say. Bushwick Community High School has been removed from a list of schools whose futures will be voted on tonight by the city's Panel for Education. The DOE had wanted to close the school down due to under-performance. The panel is still voting tonight on possible closures and co-locations for seven other Brooklyn schools.
