WILLIAMSBURG - Mayor Bloomberg and city officials broke ground on Bushwick Inlet Park Monday after five years of planning.

The first phase of the 28-acre park began Monday to neighbors who have anticipated the construction of the park since the initial announcement in 2005.

Neighbors are happy the park is finally being built, but are skeptical that it will be finished on time. The park is slated to be completed in two phases by 2011.
