BROOKLYN - Bushwick residents rallied Wednesday to protest a new condominium development they fear could eventually displace residents in their neighborhood.

The residents fear Bushwick landlords will use the high prices of the new condominiums to raise rent. They say the rent is much higher than that of the common dwellings in the area.

The cost of the condos at the complex runs between $125,000 and $700,000. The Youth Power Project fears high-cost housing could become a trend and residents may be forced out of their neighborhood if they can?t afford the changing area.
