BROOKLYN - Bushwick restaurant owners are creating their own tradition with Bushwick Restaurant Week.

More than 35 restaurants are taking part in the event, offering fine dining for a fraction of the cost. Customers can look forward to 15 percent discounts and specialty dishes for $10 to $15.

Organizers say the goal of the weeklong event is to get people to come to Bushwick and see what the area has to offer.

Organizers have also partnered with the taxi e-hailing app, Uber, to offer free cab rides up to $30 for patrons using the code "Bushwick."
